The vehicles will be used primarily for transporting personnel and equipment as needed by the Forest Service on official business on and adjacent to the Deschutes National Forest. The Government reserves the right to utilize vehicles off Forest as needed and loan vehicles to other USDA agencies to gain maximum cost and use effectiveness. All contract terms and conditions will remain in effect. The vehicles will be used to a considerable extent on all types of unsurfaced roads (gravel, cinders, and/or dirt) and may be driven where there is brush growing on the shoulders. Approximate start date is 05/01/98. Rental time could run from 3 to 10 months of use. (0077)
