The purpose of this amendment is due to a number of technical questions dealing with hardware, software, the testbed evaluation process and response submission issues. These questions will be answered within five business days by amending the synopsis/solicitation. However, all vendors are reminded that this requirement must be satisfied by a commercial item. In addition, the following requirement has been added: "After award and prior each delivery, the awardee shall be responsible to affix Government-provided bar code property labels to both the product casing and shipping container. There will be independent bar code labels for the system unit and the monitor. The specific location of the bar code labels will be determined after award." In order that adequate time is provided for responses, the due date has been changed to 12 noon EST April 7, 1998. (0078)
