70 -- PURCHASE OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SOL DMCUMA98MT98101 DUE 032598 POC Alyce Niklich, 618-229-9561 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Computer Technology Division, Procurement Branch (DTS42) intends to issue a sole source contract to Filetek, Inc., 9400 Key West Ave., Rockville, MD 20850, for the acquisition of hardware and software maintenance for the following proprietary products: Filetek Optical Disk System. This system is used by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) customers for archival and on-line reporting purposes. 24X7 operation is required. Location is at the DMC Columbus. Period of performance for the maintenance is 1 Apr 98 through 30 Sep 98. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed software maintenance must indicate their interest within 15 days of this announcement. Any party interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation shall provide written notice to the Contracting Office. Datafax requests to 618-229-9592 are acceptable. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations/proposals received in response to this notice, since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotations/Proposals.
