Service intends to award a sole source contract to Sprint Government
Systems Division, 13221 Woodland Park Drive, Herndon, Va. 22071 for
support and maintenance of the Secret Service electronic mail and
messaging system. This electronic mail and messaging system is a
proprietary, customized hardware and software application developed,
implemented and maintained by Sprint. The period of performance is June
1, 1998 through May 31, 1999 with four, one year options to extend
services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive
proposals. Firms must submit a capability statement and all pertinent
information identifying their capability to supply the required
services. This information will be considered only if clear and
convincing documentation, including technical and pricing information
is received by this office within 15 days after publication of this
notice. No solicitation document is available. Telephone inquiries will
not be accepted. The Government will not be responsible for any costs
associated with preparing a response to this notice. See Note 26.
