Fitzgerald, L.P.FITZGERALD@larc.nasa.gov. NASA/LaRC is hereby
soliciting information for potential sources for the application of
Flat Panel Display technology to replace presently used CRT display
media in both flight simulation and aircraft research systems. Current
NASA LaRC research facility development activities include conversion
of a Boeing 757 airliner into a flight research facility and
development of a number of advanced simulator cabs for use both
stationary and with a motion base. Requirements for end product display
units for flight and simulator cab use will include full color
capability, ARINC A, B, and D form factors, display resolutions of 1024
X 768 and higher, video interface compatibility with advanced raster
graphics engines such as a Silicon Graphics Onyx system. Other display
sizes for display repeaters at engineering monitoring stations are
also of interest. NASA seeks sources for a full range of flat panel
display products suitable for these requirements from basic panels for
use in display unit development to complete flight display units with
raster graphics interfaces. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not
request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it
will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet
Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these
cites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having
