63 -- SECURITY PRODUCTS, LOCK AND KEY EQUIPMENT AND CONTROL SOFTWARE SOL N47408-98-R-2403 DUE 061598 POC Naomi Melendez, Contract Specialist, 805-982-5095 The Department of Defense is seeking vendor information under their Lock Safes, Vaults, Seals, and Containers Program for input into a Lock and Key Control Guide which reflects the latest requirements of the entire DoD community. It will focus on the technical improvements in locks, electronic access devices, and computerized key control systems. The Guide will contain a vendor list with information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers of applicable hardware/software manufacturers and their products. In order to ensure that the list of manufacturers is complete and accurate all potential suppliers of the below listed hardware and software are invited to submit their contact information and product descriptions to the address above. In order to be included in the Lock and Key Control Guide, all information must be received by June 15, 1998. Product descriptions should include, but not be limited to, (1) types and models of the hardware proposed; (2 ) materials of which the hardware is composed; (3) weakness or limitations of items proposed; (4) tests, if any, performed on the items to prove capabilities; (5) platforms and operating systems required to run any proposed software. The specific products desired are: Padlocks (low, medium, and high security); Mechanical (mortise, cylindrical, deadbolt, etc.); Electronic Access Controls (Card Swipe; PIN; Biometric); Key Storage Equipment (lockable key cabinets); Electro-mechanical Locks (Magnetic locks, electronic strikes/bolts); Access Control Equipment (turnstiles; man traps; etc.); all Lock & Key Control Software Programs.
