NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for fabrication of the MBLA AFT Optics Housing, Revision A; fabrication of the MBLA AFT Optics Support Plate; and modification of the MBLA interface plate. Requirements are per GSFC drawings that will be supplied with RFQ package. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The anticipated release date of RFQ 902-71472 is on or about April 3, 1998 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about April 20, 1998. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
