Psmithe, 703-681-0626 The National Guard Bureau proposes to award a firm fixed price, simplified acquisition to D-B Associates, 277 Clovernook Dr, Nashville TN 37210 for 6,000 100% waterproof nylon map cases for field use which will also serve as Army National Guard (ARNG) promotional/recruiting items. Contractor has proprietary design. All maps must be in accordance with the following specifications: The dimensions of the map case will be approximately 12" x 16". The material will be made of tough Dupont Cordura nylon, with a woodland camouflage pattern and liner and velcro closures. Able to be folded in half and fit in the pants pocket of battle dress uniforms. Trimmed with grosgrain ribbon binding. Will have a viewing window fabricated from minimum 12 gauge clear vinyl. The case will hold a metal grommet and elasticized pen/pencil holder affixed to the map case. The map case will contain an insert sheet able to hold 10" x 13" documents. The front cover will contain a map of Fort Lewis, Washington and meet promotional/recruiting goals with ARNG's "You Can" logo laser printed in color. The completed cases MUST be delivered to Capt. Donald Ham, Tacoma, Washington no later than May 1, 1998. All shipping or other costs will be the responsibility of the contractor. Inquiries should be received in writing by 04 April 98. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue and award other than full and open competition and should not be considered an RFP. No solicitation will be issued. The determination of the Government not to open the subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1, and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
