This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-98-R-0031 is issued as a Request for Proposal. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-12. The Standard Industrial Code is 3489. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. The government is requesting offers for: CLIN 0001 -- 68 each of a feeder -delinker to be manufactured in accordance with specifications, GFM Drawing, NAVAIR 11-95MAU-1, 1 page; Military Specification, MIL-F-45598A of 20 JAN 94, 18 pp.; Statement of Work, 2 pp.; and an advanced drawing package which will be provided upon request on CD ROM. Items 0002 through 0006 are the indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity portions of the requirement. They may be separately priced based on each item as Year 1 thru 5 of the contract duration. Each year goes the appropriate time beginning from the effective award date. The quantities, 100, 100, 100, 50 and 50 associated with these years are the estimated quantities for each successive year with 468 being the maximum quantity. The remaining quantity of 400 may/may not be ordered in the five year period following award. The 68 each quantity for Item 0001 is the minimum quantity to be ordered and is a firm requirement which shall be awarded at time of contract award. Government furnished material shall be 1 each of the part number 167C2743, Gate for each feeder-delinker to be delivered. The part will be installed by the successful contractor in the part number 11686378, Housing. This is anticipated to be an indefinite -delivery, indefinite-quantity Firm-Fixed Price contract. The shipping terms will be F.O.B. Destination, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane IN with inspection/acceptance at Destination. Delivery will be required within 240 days from contract award for the 68 each. Delivery for subsequent delivery orders placed under this contract will be 240 days from the effective date of the order.
