This is a pre-solicitation/pre-proposal conference invitation prepared by the Global Air Traffic Operations/Mobility Command and Control (GATO/MC2) Systems Program Office (SPO) for the procurement of commercial Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS) and Terrain Awareness and Warning Systems (TAWS). This invitation to participate in the pre-solicitation/pre-proposal conference does not constitute an invitation for bid or a request for proposal. Currently a combined solicitation/synopsis is scheduled to be published in the Commerce Business Daily on 25 March 98. If the combined solicitation/synopsis is published prior to the scheduled meeting date of 30 March 98, the meeting will be considered a pre-proposal conference. If the notice is not published prior to 30 March 98, the meeting will be considered a pre-solicitation conference. The pre-solicitation/pre-proposal conference will be conducted on Monday, 30 Mar 98 at Hanscom AFB, MA ESC Headquarters Building 1606, First Floor -- CommandManagement Center, at 1000 hours. Attendance is limited to three (3) attendees from each prospective source. The purpose of the pre-solicitation/pre-proposal conference is for the Government to promote a clear understanding of the GATM TCAS and TAWS requirements and enable industry to respond effectively to Government requirements in a timely manner. Additional Information: Participation in the GATM TCAS and TAWS pre-solicitation/pre-proposal conference is voluntary. The information presented herein will not obligate the Government in any manner.
