for this requirement. Copies of the qualification package may be

FAX (801) 777-0389 No telephone requests will be accepted. Award will
be made only if the offeror, meets qualification requirements at the
time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209.1. Interested
contractors are to submit a qualification package that is sufficient in
detail and scope to provide the evaluator with a clear understanding of
the offeror's approach. The qualification package shall not be priced,
or include any pricing information. Use of classified information in
the qualification package is prohibited. The Government will review the
qualification packages and determine qualification based on the
following criteria: 1. Design capability: Contractor's proposal must
provide enough information to determine that the offeror has the
capability to adequately develop the power supply addressing the
following areas of technical expertise: a. Functional: Design of high
current (greater than 400 amps) regulated, clean signal power supplies.
b. Application: Design for military, high vibration/shock, rough
handling, electromagnetic interference environments. c. Reliability and
Maintainability: 10,000 hours meantime between failures is required. d.
Manufacturing Interface: Design suitable for transition to
manufacturing phase. e. Additional: Understanding of power supply
requirements, i.e. startup sequence, operation, safety shutdown,
interaction requirements with the next higher assembly (radar computer)
and the overall system (X band Doppler radar). 2. Manufacturing
capability: Contractor's proposal must provide enough information to
determine the offeror's adequacy to manufacture the power supply
addressing the following completely: a. Standards: Processes, etc., to
ensure quality and to ensure a rugged, military-suitable product. b.
Testing: Processes/procedures to develop, maintain and operate product
testing program. c. Quantities: Capacity to produce quantities
required. 3. Experience: Contractor's proposal must provide enough
information to address previous experience in building military
products similar to this requirement addressing the following
completely: a. Type of product: Actual degree of similarity. b. Type of
design: Actual amount of original design involved. c. Quality of and
suitability of example similar products. Note: If your company has not
had any previous experience in building military products similar to
this requirement, please indicate so in your qualification package. The
amount of time required for technical review of the qualification
package is 60 days. If the qualification package is received by 1 May
1998 we can guarantee that we will have enough time to evaluate the
package prior to award. If a qualification package is received after
this date we can not guarantee that there will be enough time for
evaluation before award of this requirement. The solicitation will be
