This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number NHLBI-PS-98-272 and is issued as request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation includes all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This is not a Small Business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3826, size standard 500 employees. The items to be acquired are as follows: 1) One (1) each, Single and Dual mixing Microvolume Stopped-Flow Sample Handling Unit; this system must include Stepper Drive Unit, Control Interface Unit, Counter Timer Card, Cables and Light Guide and Photomultiplier Adaptors. 2) One (1) Photomultiplier Assembly, the following accessories must be included: Assembly tube for use with the Single and Dual mixing Microvolume Stopped-Flow Sample Handling Unit, Filter Holder Assembly, Filter Holder Adaptor and Fluorescence Kit. Shipping costs, freight charges and Insurance costs, must be provided in the quotation. The Government desired inside delivery of June 30, 1998 or 10 weeks from the award date, whichever is earlier at 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda Maryland 20892. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror meeting the Government's specifications. The offeror must include a completed copy of the provision of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with its offer. The provisions of FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The offeror must provide descriptive literature inclusive of specifications as part of the quotation.
