Titus, (618) 229-9539 (i) This a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) DCA200-98-Q-0052. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-03. (iv) This RFQ is issued under Full and Open Competition. SIC Code 3577, Computer Peripheral equipment, Not Elsewhere Classified, applies. Size Standard 1,500 employees. (v) Provide prices for CLIN 0001, CISCO Model 7513 Router Configuration, 10 each, and CLIN 0002, CISCO Model 2514 Router Configuration, 5 each. (vi) Description of Requirement: (a) The Defense Information Systems Agency has two requirements. CLIN 0001 is for 10 each CISCO Model 7513 Router Configurations comprised of CISCO Part Numbers 7513 Chassis, 1ea; MEM-RSP-64M, 64 MB DRAM, 1 ea; FR-IR75, Interdomain License, 1 ea; SF75C-11.X, Feature License, 1 ea; MEM-RFP-FLC16M, Flash Memory, 1 ea; FSIP, 8 Port serial I/O, 5 ea; and EIP6, 6 Port Ether I/O, 1 ea. CLIN 0002 is for 5 each CISCO Model 2514 Router Configurations comprised of CISCO Part Numbers 2514, Router, 1 each; SF25C-11.0.14, Feature License, 1 ea; MEM-1X8F, Flash, 8MB Extra, 1 ea. (b) Routers are described as a collection of boards and licenses; this shall not be interpreted as a purchase of bulk parts. Each router shall be assembled and marked on the outside of the shipping package with its configuration. (c) All information technology provided under, or in support of, this contract by the contractor and all subcontractors shall be Year 2000 compliant. "Year 2000 compliant" means, with respect to information technology, that the information technology accurately processes date/time data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year calculations, to the extent that other information technology, used in combination with the information technology being acquired, properly exchanges date/time data with it. To ensure Year 2000 compliance, the contractor shall, at a minimum, test a representative sampling of the information technology, or same type of information technology, that will be provided under the contract. Testing will be accomplished and documented in accordance with generally accepted commercial standards/practices. If requested, the contractor shall provide the Government with a copy of their random sampling testing documentation sufficient to provide reasonable assurance of Year 2000 compliance, at no additional cost to the Government. (vii) Delivery shall be made to Systor, Inc., 4212 Technology Court, Suite F, Chantilly, VA 22021. Required delivery is 30 calendar days ARO. Early deliveries are acceptable. Delivery shall be FOB destination. Equipment shall betested and accepted at destination. (viii) FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. (ix) FAR 52.212-2 shall not apply to this acquisition. Evaluation of offers will be based on low overall cost. The Government reserves the right to make either a single or multiple award based on the best interest of the Government. (x) Proposals shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. (xi) FAR 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition.
