This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1PI-Q-0045-98 is issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures SAP), the solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. The purchase is for Lock Assembly. Timberline Inc. is the brand and the specifications are as follows: Item 0001 -- LOX0461, Lock assembly- bag kit, 4-drawer file, lateral, black, Timberline P/N: CS0280, Quantity: 3,000 each. Item 0002 -- LOX0832, 7/8" -- Cam lock assembly with plug, black-bezel, Timberline P/N: CS0271, Qty: 10,000 each. Item 0003 -- LOX0822, Lock assembly -- bag kit, 3-Drawer file, lateral, black, Timberline P/N: CS0281, Qty: 3,000 each. Item 0004 -- LOX0149,Lock-Bezel, black finishing ring, Timberline P/N: BZ-300, Qty: 12,000 each. Delivery, inspection and acceptance will occur at the FOB Destination point: Federal Correctional Institution Forrest City, AR. Delivery is no later than 30 days after the receipt of each delivery order. The following FAR clauses and provisions : 52.212- 1; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Item; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Bidders shall submit a signed and dated bid to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries (FPI), Attn: Bid Custodian, at the address listed below or via facsimile (202) 305-7363. Bids may be submitted on Standard Form (SF) 1449 or letterhead stationary and shall indicate the solicitation number, bid opening date and time, name, address, and telephone number of the bidder. This will be a firm-fixed price requirements contract. The period of performance is 2 years. Award will be made without discussions to responsive/responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price related factors. Bidder must hold prices firm for not less than 30 days from the bid opening date. Bidders are advised to include a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Bidder Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with your bid. Any bid that fails to furnish the required representations and certifications, or which rejects or changes any terms and conditions, may be rejected and excluded from consideration.
