Contracting Officer The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) is
contemplating awarding a Sole Source procurement to Datatape Inc, 3322
S Memorial Pkwy, Suite 49, Huntsville, Alabama, for a Datatape
Analysis System (MARS II). This equipment is required to support
Fighter Enhancement Program (FEP) and Multi Staged Improvement Program
(MSIP) flight operations testing. Ground station data analysis system
provides the analysis tools to decommutate the data recorded on the
MARS II aircraft data recorder. The system has the ability to reproduce
the data to its original format. The system can log up to 8 channels of
data simultaneously and output the data in user defined file formats.
The data can be imported and exported to a number of different formats.
The MARS II DAS tools include: System Configuration and Control, Quick
Look Display, Continuous Data Logging, Ability to support up 8
channels of PCM or MIL-STD-1553A/B data, Data Conversion, and Ability
to export to other analysis packages. Required delivery is to be within
30 days after contract award. Firms responding to this synopsis will be
evaluated on their ability to remain compatible with the existing MARS
II equipment onboard F-15 aircraft. Technical questions may be
