H -- STANDARDS ENFORCEMENT TEST PROGRAM FOR FMVSS NO. 206 "DOOR LOCKS AND DOOR RETENTION COMPONENTS" SOL DTNH22-98-B-01106 DUE 051898 POC Richard Dixon, Contract Specialist, (202) 366-9563 The objective of this requirement is to obtain the necessary personnel, facilities, materials, equipment, and services to perform the compliance testing services, inspection, and reporting requirements necessary to determine conformance of sample door locks and door retention components provided to the contractor as Government Furnished Test Items (GFTI), with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components". Reporting requirements will also be required in conjunction with the inspection and compliance testing services. Bidders must have the necessary testing facilities, materials, and equipment capable of meeting the testing requirements as specified by the Solicitation and the Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance Test Procedure TP-206-06, dated March 16, 1998. The Government may require a demonstration test at the Offeror's expense prior to Contract Award using the testing facilities, materials, personnel, and equipment that the Offeror proposes to use in the performance of the Contract. No subcontracting will be permitted. Manufacturers of vehicles or components to be tested are not eligible for award of this procurement. The anticipated period of performance is twelve (12) months with four additional twelve (12) month option periods This solicitation will be mailed to those organizations responding in writing. The anticipated issuance date of the solicitation is on or about April 17, 1998. (0083)
