Spud Well Preservation, (4) Remove, Inspect, Repair, and Reinstall Tail
Shafts, (5) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (6) Remove and
Reinstall Propellers, (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Steering
Rudder Assemblies, (8) Clean and Test Grid Coolers, (9) Modify Cutter
to Barge Potable Water Tank Fill System (SHIPALT NO. 65501 (A)-45),
(10) Overhaul and Test Valves, (11) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks
and Disposal (5,000 Gallons), (12) Install Fuel Tank Stripping Line
(BARGEALT 130-C-010), (13) Install New Oily Water Separator (SHIPALT
NO. 65501 (A)-B-042), (14) Inspect and Test Air Receivers, (15)
Relocate Barge Air Capstan Control (BARGEALT 130-B-007), (16) Inspect,
Overhaul, and Test Barge Boat Davits, (17) Overhaul Air Capstan, (18)
Inspect, Overhaul, and Test Appleton Crane, (19) Inspect Various Deck
Fittings, (20) Preserve Tender and Barge Sea Chest, Sea Chest Strainer
Plates, and Barge Grid Cooler Hull Recesses, and Inside of the Stern
Tubes, (21) Preserve Barge Buoy Deck, (22) Preserve Underwater Body
(Tender and Barge), (23) Preserve Freeboard (Tender and Barge), (24)
Clean and Inspect Sewage Tank, (25) Temporary Logistics, and (26)
Routine Drydocking. Indefinite items include but are not limited to the
following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Spud Well Liner Renewal (Tender),
(3) Spud Well Liner Renewal (Barge), (4) Shaft Repairs, (5) Inspection
of Government-furnished Shaft, (6) Fabricate Shaft, (7) Renew Shaft
Sleeves, (8) Renew Shaft Strut Barrel, (9) Perform Propeller Minor
Repair and Reconditioning, (10) Renew Steering Rudder Lower Bearing
Trunk, (11) Renew Steering Rudder Upper Bearing Housing and Upper
Bearing Housing support, (12) Remove and Dispose of Additional Diesel
Fuel (500) Gallons, (13) Blast Clean Diesel Fuel Tanks, (14) Clean and
Inspect Sewage Tank -- Minor Coating Repairs, (15) Preserve Sewage
Tank, and (16) Ultrasonic Testing. Vessel's homeport is Chattanooga,
TN. There is no geographical restrictions. Vessel's availability
schedule is 20 JULY 1998 for 46 calendar days. Vessel is a 65 Foot
River Buoy Tender and 130 Foot Barge. All referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA.
A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or
money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 10 APR 98. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. Minority,
Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP)
offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to
finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
