565-1154 Under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1, the National Park Service
(NPS) intends to enter into a non-competitive contract to recruit a
diverse population of qualified eligible college students for seasonal
positions to be hired under the Student Temporary Employment Program
hiring authority. Because of the partnership between Student
Conservation Association (SCA) and the National Park Service, SCA has
developed an expertise on the type of positions and the qualifications
for the positions that are filled during our summer seasonal program.
IAW the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR
6.302-1, the Government intends to enter into negotiations on a
non-competitive basis with n SCA within 30 days after the publication
of this notice. However, all information received by this agency shall
be considered. A determination not to open the requirement to
competition based on responses received to this notice is solely within
the discretion of this agency. This synopsis may represent the only
