Y -- AMBULATORY HEALTH CARE CLINIC AND AIR NATIONAL GUARD/AIR FORCE RESERVE MEDICAL TRAINING FACILITY, MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, HTSTOWN, NEW JERSEY SOL DACA51-98-B-0022 DUE 050898 POC Michael McHugh, contract specialist, 212-264-5995. The construction of a 14,849 GSM, two-story, full service outpatient clinic, Ambulatory Health Care Clinic (AHCC) with option to construct adjacent 1300 GSM, one story, Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve (ANG/AFR) Medical Training Facility. Features of the AHCC facility include primary care, ambulatory surgery, flight and aerospace medicine, allergy and immunization, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, psychiatry social work, End/audiology, ophthamalogy, obstetrics, psychiatry, social work, laboratories, X-ray, physical therapy, pharmacy, patient waiting areas, administrative and support spaces. The primarily features of the ANG/AFR Medical Training Facility are administrative spaces for personnel and medical records, storage for unit supplies, and classrooms. Both facilities are framed with structural steel. The AHCC steel framing is fire proofed. The roofing includes both metal standing seam and built-up systems. Lower floors are reinforcedconcrete slab on grade. The second floor of the AHCC is composite construction. Foundations systems are column spread footings with continuous strip wall footings. Exterior walls are masonry cavity walls constructed of metal studs with brick facing. The buildings each contain their own boiler and auxiliaries and will be equipped with HVAC systems, domestic hot and cold water, and plumbing. Both facilities are: fully sprinklered (wet pipe system hydraulically designed), furnished with electric power and lighting throughout, wired for telephone and Local Area Network systems. Site utilities (water, sanitary sewer, electric and natural gas service), sidewalks, bituminous paved roads and parking, grading, storm drainage, landscaping, etc. are also included in these projects. The prospective bidders will be notified as to when site visits will be scheduled. Estimated construction cost: $30,000,000 to $40,000,000. Completion Time: 730 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed. The SIC code is 1542. There is no set-aside. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement. At this time, it is the Government's intent to issue plans and specifications on Compact Disc (CD-ROM). The cost of $250 (NON-REFUNDABLE) per disc set, is payable to "USA, COE, NED, FAO", by either check or money order. Parties requesting discs must do so in writing, stating the solicitation number or project name, complete company name and street address (WE WILL NOT DELIVER TO P.O. BOXES), telephone and facsimile numbers (including area codes). Discs will be available on or about 8 April 1998 and bid opening will be on or about 8 May 1998. In this instance, plans and specifications will not be provided in printed format, however, the Government reserves the right to issue the plans and specifications in paper medium or revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium.
