THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED UNDER SOLICITATION 193045-97-A-0057. On or about March 27, 1998, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of the Westside Annex in Coralville, IA. Proposals will be opened on April 28, 1998, at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. Description of the work is: The project consists of a one-story facility of approximately 16,000 GSF including an enclosed mail platform. The site is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Camp Cardinal Road and James Street in the Coralville Industrial Park, Coralville IA. The value of the work is estimated to be between $1.2M and $2.0M. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete the project no later than 270 calendar days as described in the solicitation. Liquidated damages will be assessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
