This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number 273-98-P-0006 is issued as a request for proposal. The solicitation/contract will include all applicable clauses and provisions through FAC 97-04. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to negotiate with Molecular Structure Corp. for the installation and purchase of an R-AXIS IV Imaging Plate System and the following associated spare parts: 1 R-Axis IV 20 degree 20 stage, 1 Huber Euccntric goiometer head, 1 erasing lamps (6 pc set), 1 MSC/Yale Focusing mirror system, 1 PIN diode for alignment, 1 RU-H3RNB (high brilliance), 3 extra filament boxes, 1 copper anode, 1 digital readout for vacuum system, 1 anode rebuild kit for belt drive generator, 1 x-stream, 1 computer for x-stream, 1 air compressor with acoustic cabinet, 1 heat shield for goniometer head, 1 haskris WW2 water to water heat exchanger, 1 x-ray on illuminated sign, 1 HKL area detector processing package. Delivery shall be required 30 days after receipt of contract to NIEHS/ Building 101, Room F328. FOB point, destination. This action is under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1 and HHSAR 306-302-1. The supplies are brand name to Molecular Structure and no other supplies will satisfy the Government's requirement. Offeror must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications. FAR clauses 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors and 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, apply to this acquisition.
