70 -- PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SOFTWARE DUE 041598 POC Samuel Thompson. voice phone # (334) 953-4291, fax # (334) 953-6792 E-MAIL: sathompson@max1.au.af.mil, sathompson@max1.au.af.mil. Recurring Work or Preventive Maintenance Software This requirement is for a software system that processes historical data along with manufacturing specifications on facility/building system equipment. Software will determine the replacement requirements for the recurring work program, taken into consideration the maintenance, frequency, failure rates, and critical requirements. The technical support services will include cost estimating/analysis, economical analysis, life cycle costing, and preservation maintenance level. Ultimately, this software will establish the decision tree to protect assets and extend the life of this equipment, enabling uninterrupted service while maintaining mission capabilities. This includes maintaining equipment before it fails, replace it before reaching the end of its projected life span, and anticipate problems before they become emergencies, while maximizing budgeted moneys. The key concept will be to manage the maintenance actions. These actions will fall into five categories: (1) breakdown maintenance, (2) preventative maintenance, (3) predictable maintenance, (4) planned and scheduled maintenance, or (5) a composite maintenance. While taking into consideration, how critical and the dollar value of each piece of equipment. The optimal system will be compatible with the Developer 2000 Oracle language. The current systems database is on an Unix Operating System as part of the Work Information Management or IWIS. But, other systems will be reviewed to determine efficiency of this review process.
