C -- A/E OPEN ENDED ELECTRICAL SOL 640-87-98 DUE 050698 POC Bonnie Yager -- Contract Specialist (650) 493-5000 ext. 63765 A/E services are required for the Electrical Engineering discipline. These services may include but are not limited to: Preparation of Plans, Design, Specifications, Cost Estimates, Construction Period Services, Facility-Wide Site Survey and Investigative Services, Site Visits and other related services for minor construction projects, and renovation of existing buildings and facilities, in accordance with all applicable state, local and federal codes and regulations. Contract performance period will be one year beginning with the date of award with an optional one year extension. Award of a contract is dependent upon availability of funds. Tasks will be directed by individual issued delivery orders. The maximum amount for the entire period (base to option) cannot exceed $450,000.00. The dollar limit of individual order issued under the contract will be $75,000.00. This is not a request for proposal and solicitation documents are not available. SELECTION CRITERIA: Each interested firm shall be evaluated on the following criteria: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactorily performance of the required services; 2. Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; 4. Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules; 5. Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. Area of consideration is limited to a 75 mile radius of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System -- Palo Alto, CA. At least one member of any proposed joint venture must have an existing design production office within the geographic limitation. Joint venture or firm/consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated on a demonstrated interdependency of the members to provide a quality design effort. Respondents must demonstrate capability to perform 80% of all contract services in existing production offices within the geographic limitations. This is 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
