D -- MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENT DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM SOL 550-07-98 DUE 051498 POC Marietta Hance, Contract Specialist, (217)-431-6536 The VA Medical Center, Danville, Illinois is soliciting offers for a Windows-based NT (32 bit) Medical Transcription Software and Documentation Distribution Management System with an electronic signature authentication solution and extensive interfacing ability into the Veteran Information Systems Technology and Architecture (VISTA, the user-wide computer information system) allowing for the achievement of a fully automated, event-enabled electronic medical record workflow environment. Windows version and all items under this procurement must currently be able to support Year 2000 compliance. All software shall be presently available for purchase, on the market, and fully operational at the current time (prepackaged software with minimal customization for specific user). Software shall provide for a digital dictation system interface with any utilized central dictation system. VA will provide all hardware except for the Interface PC. Software interface must be seamless (backwards and forwards) to correct VISTA entry points and be compatible with the medical center's M (MUMPS) DataBases. Contract shall begin approximately May/June, 1998 through April/May, 1999 with four option years. Contract shall include the purchase, installation, enhancements, maintenance, and support for software; and the purchase, installation, upgrades, maintenance, and support for PC interface.
