BLACK OIL SIMULATOR (IMEX) 1. DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Department of Energy, Federal Energy Technology Center, announces that it intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Computer Modeling Group located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for a three-phase, implicitly-explicit dual porosity/dual permeability black oil simulator (IMEX). BACKGROUND. The Computer Modeling Group (CMG) shall provide the Federal Energy Technology Center (FETC) with a copy of a three-phase, implicit-explicit dual porosity/dual permeability black oil simulator (IMEX). The simulator must be capable of run-time dimensioning, be able to model horizontal well bores and multilateral well bores, and must run on a Silicon Graphics UNIX-based platform. The software shall be licensed for two concurrent users at the U.S. Department of Energy/Federal Energy Technology Center. CMG shall provide FETC the source code of the simulator upon request.
