Jones, Contracting Officer (334/727-0550, Ext. 4033) The Central
Alabama Veterans Health Care System has a requirement for a Robotic
Scrubber/Vacuum. Includes 25 gallon solution and recover tanks;
solution recycling system 3/4 hp vacuum motor; 3/4 hp brush drive motor
4 six volt deep cycle batteries; battery charger two 13" pad holders;
two 13" brushes; 32" ARC shaped Squeegee. The Robotic Scrubber/Vacuum
shall consist of but is not limited to the following components,
attachments and accessories necessary to meet the operational and
performance requirement for the equipment: Power Package and Pager
System. The Robotic machine will enhance the sanitation program in
maintaining the overall health care environment, allowing FTEE to
concentrate inside Patient Care. F.O.B. destination delivery and
assembly required. The contractor shall provide the necessary
operational testing and training on the equipment after received by the
Medical Center. The Government will award a contract resulting from
this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to
the solicitation will be most advantageous to government. The following
factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (i) Technical capability of
the item offered to meet the Government requirement; (ii) Price; (iii)
Past performance of equipment and manufacturer: All responsible
sources may submit offers not later than April 9, 1998 which VA Medical
