SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL DEFENSE RESEARCH -- 16-20 NOVEMBER 1998 -- EDGEWOOD AREA CONFERENCE CENTER, ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MARYLAND The Department of Defense sponsors a program of basic research in chemical and biological defense and realted topics. The purpose of this conference is to bring together investigators from government and non-government laboratories who are currently involved in this research, and to conduct working level discussions on the present state-of-the-art. Every effort will be made to keep the program informal and to foster working relationships between participants whose research interests are related. It is hoped that each investigator conducting 6.1 basic research supported by ERDEC will present a paper. Chemical and biological defense researchers supported by other Government agencies are invited to attend and present their work as well. The conference is Unclassified. Topic areas include but are not limited to; biotechnology, computational chemistry, computational prototyping for R&D, decontamination, demilitarization, detection & identification, environmental studies, flow cytometry, materials, modeling & simulation, protection, synthesis & properties, toxicology.
