The (Base Bid) of this project consists of repaving and improving drainage on Poppin Rock Road No. 938 to include removal of 71 each concrete vehicle stops; 1 lump sum excavation placement method 1; 125.5 square meters of type A subgrade treatment; 88 meters of drainage excavation; 3983 square meters of treatment of existing roadway, method C; 30 tons of placed riprap, KY Class II channel lining; 500 tons of crushed aggregate, DGA, compaction B; 750 tons of hot asphalt concrete plant mix; 1075 liters of tack coat, grade SS-1h; 6 each precast concrete wheel stops; 4 square meters of ungrouted rubble paved waterway; 112.5 square meters of concrete paved waterway; and 1000 meters of white pavement markings, type K. This project includes an (Add Alternate) consisting of 50 meters of guardrail system G4, steel W beam-single face type 1, Class A; and 2 each terminal Section No. 1. For purposes of award, the additive or deductive item will be determined by availability of government funding at the time of bidopening. This project is located in Rowan County, Kentucky on the Morehead Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest.
