16 -- BREAKOUT BOXES FOR FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM ON F-14 AIRCRAFT SOL N68335-98-Q-0173 DUE 041698 POC Carl Ruzicka, Code 2131, (732)323-2741 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations with Northrop Grumman Corp. for the purchase of 17 each breakout boxes for the flight control system of the F-14 aircraft. These boxes act as connectors associated with the digital flight control systems of the aircraft. Also required is the logistics data for the breakout boxes. First delivery is required by 15 June 1998. It is intended to issue an order to Northrop Grumman under Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-97-G-0143 to satisfy this requirement. The Government intends to procure these breakout boxes in accordance with 10 USC 2304(C)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own any data, drawings or source data for the required items to permit competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. Responses should reference N68335-98-Q-0173 . A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. (0086)
