DREGER CONTRACTING OFFICER The Coastal Systems Station, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division is seeking sources for a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf Obstacle Avoidance/Minehunting Sonar System intended to replace the AN/WQS -1 sonar on approximately twenty six, AN/SLQ-48, Mine Neutralization Systems. The sonar will be used to reacquire minelike objects (MLOs) and guide the vehicle to within video camera range in shallow and deep water. In addition, it is highly desirable but not required for the system to have sufficient resolution to classify the target under poor optical conditions. Systems should be ready to use as is or with minor modifications.
