95 -- STEEL CASTINGS SOL N00253-98-R-0004 DUE 051898 POC Julie Peterson (360) 396-5673 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport (NUWCDK) intends to solicit for steel castings for the MK45 Mod 2 truck, handlift. The castings shall be in accordance with the following: NAVORD drawing 2643615 Rev D (hanger, bracket), 80 each; Bureau of Naval Weapons drawing 1568055 Rev H (bracket, hanger), 80 each; NAVORD drawing 2643595 Rev B (latch, tow bar), 80 each; Bureau of Naval Weapons drawing 2642578 Rev E (post, steering), 80 each; and NAVORD drawing 2643598 Rev C (crossbeam brake), 80 each. The above quantities include 1 each first article for each casting. The solicitation will require the contractor to submit pricing for both a machined and unmachined casting (first article and production lot) with the Government determining the most cost effective alternative. Pricing will also be required for the tooling manufactured to produce the castings. MIL-I-45208A shall be required. Delivery of the first articles will be required within 90 days after contract award, with delivery of the production units 60 days after first article approval. Tooling shall be delivered with the production units. This acquisition will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will be issued on or about 16 April 1998 with a 30 day closing.
