D -- PAGING SERVICES POC MSGT Keith Stewart at (301) 981-2304 . The 89th Contracting Squadron is requesting information for Commercial Paging Service. The contractor shall provide commercial paging service for a minimum of 200 and a maximum of 1,500 pagers. The service must cover the Washington DC metropolitan area. Paging service shall be alpha-numeric and numeric. Paging serrvice shall include voice mail, e-mail forwarding, and nation-wide paging. Access to alpha-numeric service will be by operator asssistance, PC with modem, and web site. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, as this is a request for information only. The responses to this request for information shall address the applicability of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Contractors who feel that this acquisition can meet the definition of a commercial Service found in FAR 12 should provide the following: customary practices regarding customizing, modifying or tailoring of services to meet customer needs and associated costs; customary practices, including warranty, buyer financing, discounts ect., under which commercial sales of the services are made; the requirements of any laws and regulations unique to the service being acquired; customary practices regarding quality assurance procedures and other terms and conditions that would govern this type of acquisition. Information submitted shall not be returned. The duration of the contemplated contract including option years is five (5) years. This notice shall not be construed as an RFP nor obligate the Government to award a contract, restrict the Government in its ultimate acquisition approach, obligate the Government to pay for any information that is submitted or costs associated with proposal preparation.
