The 50th Civil Engineering Squadron is contemplating for the operation and maintenance of the Automation Control Center as a result of mandated out-sourcing requirements. This out-sourcing effort would involve one function of the Operations Flight. The Automation Control Center is a 24 hours/day, 7 days/week work center responsible for the following functions and systems and will require contractor support to replace the functions performed by government personnel. Contractor shall warrant all operator decisions and actions for this critical Civil Engineering work center. This responsibility includes system administration, technical expertise, operation, maintenance, repair, backups, database/graphics maintenance and development, help desk and training for all systems and system components. Provide on-demand assistance to craftsmen performing troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance activities. Participate in system testing and final inspections of projects that add hardware, data points and/or software to Automation Control Center systems. Maintain current and develop new databases for Civil Engineering. Provide comprehensive help desk functions for Civil Engineering system users. The responsibilities of this work center include operation and system administration of the Energy Management Control System (EMCS), the Geographical Information System (GIS), the Work Information System (WIMS), the Fire Reporting System, the Emergency Information System (EIS), the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), Small Computer and Automated Data Processing Equipment Management. Utility control, customer service and damage control center duties are included.
