The purpose of this notice is to amendment the previous Notice of Intent for this project (Submission No. 182865, dated March 25, 1998) to include the following: The subject project was abandoned in place when the previous contract was terminated. Framing, plumbing, drywall and electrical work has been started, but no protion is fully completed. Taxidermy work was begun, but not completed, dioramas have not been started, a 4,500 gallon aquarium and support structures have not been ordered, and all of the exhibit text and photo panels have been proofed, but have never been completed. Lighting and sound needs to be purchased and installed, and flooring needs to be ordered and installed. Murals that were begun need to be completed. Grasses to be used in the project were collected and have been stored onsite. Miscellaneous materials are onsite to be used in the project. The estimated price range for completion of the project is between $500,000 and $1.0 million. The period of performance will be 365 calendar days from date of award. Due to time constraints on the procurement, all capable firms must respond in writing to the aforementioned procurement office no later than April 10, 1998. (0086)
