Eddy, Contracting Officer 301-496-3878 The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has a requirement to provide Security Services. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor and supervision to fully implement a Protection Surveillance Program (Security Services) at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) Facilities, 903 South Fourth Street, Hamilton,. Montana 59840. The Contractor shall provide Security Services for the entire facility which consists of approximately thirty (30) buildings and three (3) animal compounds covering approximately thirty-three (33) acres. The contractor shall provide Security Services as specified herein, 24 hours per day 365 days a year, i.e., graveyard shift (midnight to 8:00a.m.). day shift (8:00a.m.to 4:00p.m.) and swing shift (4:00p.m. to midnight). The Contractor's protection surveillance program (Security Services) shall include the monitoring of the grounds, buildings, utility systems (electircal, heating, air conditioning and plumbing), alarms, (security, fire and temperature) and any items in need of repair, such as leaky plumbing, faulty lights, malfunctioning equipment, potential safety hazards and loose animals. The Contractor shall check and record the temperatures of approximately thirty-two (32) Government owned ultra-cold boxes. This task shall be performed twice during each swing shift, graveyard shift, and also during the day shift, weekends and holidays. If requested in writing by the designated Government Official, the Contractor shall turn on or off equipments as directed. Bidders, please note there will be a Pre-Bidders Conference/Site visit conducted at Rocky Mountain Laboratory, Hamilton, Montana. The exact date of the Conference will be provided when known. The Contractor shall be within a One (1) hour travel time of the Rocky Mountain Laboratory, Hamilton, Montana. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. See Note 1. Invitation for Bids is expected to be issued on /about 05/15/98. The resulting contract is expected to be a FP, definite delivery type contract with options for 4 successive 12 month periods. (0086)
