Elmendorf Air Force Base (AFB) will host an industry forum on 16 and 17 April 1998 to provide industry with its housing privatization project concept and to solicit feedback. The forum will be held at the Elmendorf AFB Officer's Club. Registration will begin at 7:30 am and presentations will commence promptly at 8:30 am in the Main Ball Room. The forum will adjourn at 11:30 am for lunch. Lunch will be available at the officer's club for a nominal fee. At 1:00 pm, attendees will return for a question and answer session hosted by a panel of DoD project experts. The forum will conclude at approximately 5:00 pm. Bus tours of the proposed project sites and other points of interest will also be provided on the first day. On Day 2, separate conference time slots will be made available for forum attendees wishing to meet with government officials in a private setting. Separate conferences will be scheduled in 20 minute increments on a first come, first serve basis. The separate conferences are intended to allow companies the opportunity to provide feedback on the Elmendorf concept without publicly disclosing proprietary information. Discussions should focus on the financing, planning, design, demolition, construction, renovation, ownership, operations, and management of the Elmendorf housing privatization concept. Forum seating is limited. Request reservations no later than 10 April 1998. Financiers, developers, contractors, real estate management firms, and others interested in attending the forum are encouraged to pre-register by faxing the attached registration form to the individual listed below or by e-mailing the same information to one of the e-mail addresses below.
