Prepare existing built-up roof surface (sealed-seam metal membrane roofing), install new insulation, and accessories on Detroit and Big Cliff Powerhouses. (1) MANUFACTURER: The sealed-seam metal roofing system (SSMRS) shall be the product of a recognized SSMRS manufacturer who has been in the practice of manufacturing SSMRS for a period of not less than three (3) years and has been involved in at least five (5) projects similar in size and complexity to this project. The roofing system shall be R-Mer Lite insulated steel roofing system by The Garland Company, Inc. 3800 East 91st Street, Cleveland OH 44105-2194, Phone 1-800-321-9336 or approved equal. (2) INSTALLATION: Contractor must be certified by manufacturer of SSMRS to install this product. Contractor must have a minimum of two (2) years certified experience and shall have been involved in installing at least three (3) projects of a comparable size, scope and complexity for theparticular roofing system furnished. The installer shall furnish written proof that he/she has completed the manufacturer's roofing installation course of study and is licensed for the installation of this roofing system. The installer shall further provide written proof that the superintendent and foreman selected for supervision on this job have been approved by the manufacturer, or submit for manufacturer's approval a resume of past jobs of similar scope and complexity what these personnel have been involved with. Contractor is required to commence work within 30 calendar days after the date of Notice to proceed and complete entire work within 60 calendar days. The time stated for completion includes final clean up of the premises.
