Z -- MAINTENANCE DREDGING, 38-FOOT PROJECT, CUT-3 THROUGH CUT-6, CUT-7 THROUGH CUT-13, AND CUT-39 THROUGH CUT-42, JACKSONVILLE HARBOR, JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA SOL DACW17-98-B-0010 DUE 051298 POC Contract Specialist Vicki Tipton (904) 232-1146 (Site Code DACW17) The project consists of dredging approximately 493,000 cubic yards of material from Cut-3 through Cut-6 for the Base Bid. In addition to the Base Bid, Base Bid Option A will add approximately 133,000 cubic yards of material from Cut-7 through Cut-13 and Bid Option B will add approximately 186,000 cubic yards of material from Cut-39 through Cut-42. The dredged material from the Base Bid and Bid Option A shall be placed in the Beach Disposal Area south of the south jetty. The material from Option B shall be placed in Disposal Area 2A-Buck Island. The required depth for all areas, Base Bid, Bid Option A, and Bid Option B is 40 feet plus 1 foot allowable overdepth. Disposal Area 2A-Buck Island is located at a maximum of approximately 30,300 feet from the areas to be dredged and the Beach Disposal Area is located a maximum of approximately 27,000 feet from the areas to be dredged. Work also includes Turbidity and Endangered Species Monitoring, and Beach Tilling. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 20 Mar 98. Invitation DACW17-98-B-0010 will be issued on or about 09 Apr 98 and opened on or about 12 May 98. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $40.00. Checks should be made payable to FAO USAED Jacksonville, and sent to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Florida.
