Naval Academy has a requirement to procure a Canberra Genie Vax Station upgrade. Genie 2000 Software upgrade to include the following: Genie 2000 basic software upgrade Model #S500UPC, Genie 2000 Gamma Analysis upgrade Model #S501UPC, Genie 2000 Interactive Peak fit upgrade Model #506UPC, Genie 2000 Right to Copy upgrade Model #S520UPC, Genie 2000 Right to copy license Model 520C. System Hardware upgrade to include the following: NIM Bin and power supply Model 2100-1, Data Acquisition interface module and ethernet hardware Model #AIM-PACK, 8075/8077 to AIM Cable Model #C1553, 20' RG58 ethernet cable Model #C125-20, 10' RG58 ethernet cable Model #C125-10; 75' RG58 ethernet cable Model C125-75; 159' RG58 ethernet cable Model C125-150; 58" floor cabinet with power interfaces Model #5001. Installation of the above items less trade-in of Canberra S35+ MCA, S95 MCA and two 2000 NIM BINS. Top opening lead shield Model #747; annular shield plug Model #747-2, extended range germanium detector Model #GX1519, Carbon fiber window Model #SD PROD, and vertical slimline cryostat Model #7500-SL. Installation of detector and integration wit Genie data acquisition system. Genie Vaxstation upgrade 96#6382 to include the following: M11437 refurbished 600 MB CD-ROM B2-TLZ07-VA; M11437 refurbished 8GB DAT-tape BS-RD45-VA; M11437 deckside expansion box; M11437 8-bit I/O module for expansion; M11437 BN23G-01 interface cable and Genie Vax Station upgrade installation. It is the intention of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis to Canberra Industries, 800 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0089)
