synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 98-Q-34 is issued
as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-03. This action is a 100% small business
set-aside. The SIC Code is 5045 Computer Equipment, Peripherals, and
Software, and the small business size standard is 100. The U.S. Secret
Service has a requirement for 0ne (1) MATLAB software package with the
following accessories: (1) DSP Block Set (DSUNIX); (2) SP Line Toolbox
(SPUNIX); (3) Statistics Toolbox (STUNIX); (4) Signal Processing
Toolbox (SGUNIX); (5) MATLAB C Math Library (MAUNIX); (6) MATLAB
Compiler (COUNIX); (7) Image Processing Toolbox (IPUNIX); (8) Wavelets
Toolbox (WAUNIX); (9) Neural Network Toolbox (NNUNIX); (10) MATLAB
(MLUNIX); and (11) SIMULINK (SLUNIX). The Contractor shall deliver the
complete quantity; FOB Destination, US Secret Service, Forensic
Science Division, Room 929, 2701 South Capital Street, SW, Building
410, Washington, DC 20373. Delivery within five (5) business days of
receipt of award. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price
contract, to the offeror whose quotation conforming to the
specification will be most price advantageous to the Government. All
responsible small business sources may submit a bid, proposal or
quotation which will be considered by the USSS. Please note price
quotes by fax will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail
quotes to the U.S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street,
NW, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20223, Attn. Kathleen Wilson; no later
than 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, April 10, 1998. All proposals should
include documentation showing how their product meetsthe technical
requirements. Award is anticipated within thirty (30) days of receipt
