The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the General Acquisitions Branch, PSC, intends to award a six month sole source simplified acquisition to the National Mental Health Association (NHMA) in Alexandria, VA. Work under this contract is to develop an interdisciplinary Consensus Report from two previous meetings of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)/SAMHSA and NHMA Workgroup on preventing Substance Abuse and Mental Health Problems in Managed Healthcare Settings. The purpose of this Consensus Report is to promote prevention activities in managed care settings and will be used to develop follow-up activities such as developing guidelines for consumers, purchasers, community-based prevention organizations, accreditation organizations and managed care organizations.
