Description: Sources sought for travel management services for official travel for the USMC on Okinawa, Japan. The contract period shall begin 1 Oct 99, with four (annual) option years thereafter. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the management and operation of a commercial travel office and its satellite activities as defined in the Performance Work Statement. The Government may provide facilities and utilities for the performance of the work. The contractor shall effect leisure travel ticketing, in conjunction with official travel, if requested by the traveler. Leisure travel services, however, are not an exclusive right of the contractor for official travel. In FY97, the gross expenditure for official travel was $13 million and the gross expenditure for leisure travel in conjunction with official travel was $5 million. Basic requirements to be included on the source list are that the contractor must have total and direct access to a major Computer Reservation System (Electronic Ticketing and Reservation System), must have an acceptable, Automated Accounting System, and must have an IATA number.
