Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to remove and replace approximately 3,700 square feet of built-up roofing (BUR) and approximately 5,250 square feet of new cold-applied modified bitument roofing. This project involves work on two separate roofs at the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Project includes but is not limited to: complete tear-off of the existing roof system and replacement with new tapered insulation and a 4-ply, hot tar BUR. The existing BUR flashings contain approximately 5% chrysotile asbestos. The modified bitument roofing system will be applied directly to a metal roofed modular building and will not require tear-off of an existing system. Completion time will be 45 calender days after contract award. Cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Requests for bid packages must be made in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable $25.00 check or money order per set. Make check or money order payable to "VA Medical Center #603." Bid packages will be available on or about April 20, 1998 with a bid opening date of May 20, 1998, at 2:00pm local time, at the VA Medical Center, Bldg T2, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY.
