REPAIR/ALTER AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE HANGAR, PN 46865, FORT BLISS, TEXAS -- This project provides for the repair and alteration of administration and avionics shop space in an existing aircraft maintenance hangar. Work includes alteration/repair/replacement of existing plumbing fixtures, handicap access to latrines, fire suppression system, partition walls and ceilings, HVAC replacement, upgrade electrical system and panels and removal and cleanup of HAZMAT, including asbestos, lead-based paint, and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) compounds. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD ROM, and/or the internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD ROM and the internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors' responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
