commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This solicitation is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ), number
RFQ-98-048. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This
procurment is set aside 100% for small business; the standard
industrial classification (SIC) code is 5112; the small business size
standard is 500 employees. The Bureau of the Public Debt intends to
purchase toner cartridges with staggered delivery dates as shown: 1)
350 each toner cartridges to fit HP Laserjet printer series IV / IV
PLUS / V; 120 each to be delivered 30 days after award; 116 each to be
delivered 07-01-98; 114 each to be delivered 09-01-98. 2) 420 each
toner cartridges to fit HP Laserjet printer series III SI / IV SI; 140
each to be delivered 30 days after award; 140 each to be delivered
07-01-98; 140 each delivered 09-01-98. 3) 150 each toner cartridges to
fit HP Laserjet printer series II / III; 50 each to be delivered 30
days after award; 50 each to be delivered 07-01-98; 50 each to be
delivered 09-01-98. All toner cartridges must be new. Recycled
cartridges will not be considered. The provision at 52.212-1,
Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (JUN 1997), applies to
this acquisition. Award(s) will be made to the low price, technically
compliant offer(s). Offerors shall include a completed copy of the
provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications --
Commercial Items (JAN 1997), with the offer. The Offeror
Representations and Certifications are available in both Word 6.0 and
PDF format on our website; The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions -- Commercial Items (MAY 1997), applies to this acquisition.
