The US Army CECOM Acquisition Center is issuing a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) requesting proposals in support of advanced nonmetallic lithium rechargeable BB-X590 batteries with options. This BAA will be issued under the provision of FAR 6.102(d)(2) research proposal. A cost plus fixed fee type contract is anticipated pending approval of funding, a total of approximately $400 thousand dollars for a period of 14-16 months may be available for funding one or multiple efforts in order to accomplish this program. No award can be made without a proposal to perform the specific effort with an estimated cost and time framework. CECOM will evaluate proposals and make contract award within a reasonable period of time. Such invitation does not assure subsequent contract award. Proposal will be selected through a technical/scientific/price/business decision process. This BAA will be issued on or about 15 days from date of this notice on the Business Opportunity page (BOP).
