The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking to fulfill a Certified Radiological Technician contract position, located at Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, WV. This solicitation is for a Firm Fixed Price Non-Personal Service Requirements Contract. The contractor will work directly with female inmates incarcerated at Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, West Virginia. These duties will consist of but are not limited to the set-up and shooting of routine x-ray film and mammogram, some instruction in the proper use and maintenance of x-ray to Health Services staff, equipment maintenance, quality control testing, assisting in special procedures such as fluoroscopy and contrast studies such as gastrointestinal studies with barium, maintain a log of all procedures, and filing of films and reports. Scheduling will normally consist of four (4) sessions per week. A session is defined as (7.5) hours in duration and is not to exceed thirty (30) hours per week. There are an estimated (208) sessions for the term of the contract. Additionally, this contract is a total small business set-aside. The term of the contract will be from date of award for a twelve (12) month period. The estimated date for issuance of this solicitation is set for April 22, 1998. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for May 4, 1998, at 1:00 p.m., and the deadline for receipt of offers is set for May 11, 1998, 3:00 p.m. local time.
