requirement is to provide storage, distribution, and mailing of FEMA
publications, forms, stationary, and other printed material. Also, the
requirement shall cover the storage and distribution of furniture and
records. A cost plus fixed fee contract with a base year and four,
1-year options are anticipated. THIS IS A 100% SET-ASIDE FOR QUALIFIED
8(a) SMALL BUSINESSES. The successful 8(a) firm shall commit to
providing warehousing space of at least 70,000 square feet per year for
five- (5) years-58, 000 square ft. for storage, 10,000 square ft. for
furniture, and 2,000 square ft. for records. The Location of the
warehouse should be within a one- (1) hour drive from FEMA
headquarters-500 C Street, SW Washington, DC 20472. The successful
contractor will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance,
management, and operation of a FEMA owned automated data system used to
primarily support this warehousing effort. Also, the contractor will be
responsible for generating inventory reports and maintaining a complete
order and inventory tracking system. The contracting shall be
responsible for managing approximately 5,500 orders per month for
900,000 publications in any combination. The contractor will be
responsible for 50 mail-outs using monthly mailing lists for an average
of 30,000 copies mailed per month. Special deliveries and pick-ups,
when required in the National Capital Region, will take place within a
two hundred-(200) mile radius of FEMA headquarters including airport
terminals servicing the D.C. area. Also, the contractor will be
responsible for the storage of approximately 3240 skids of material.
