Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to remove and replace approximately 3,700 sf of built-up roofing (BUR) and approximately 5,250 sf of new cold-applied modified bitument roofing at the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Project involves work on two separate roofs. The built-up roof replacement includes, but is not limited to, complete tear-off of the existing roof system and replacement with new tapered insulation and a 4-ply, hot tar BUR. The existing BUR flashings contain approximately 5% chrysotile asbestos. The modified bitument roofing system will be applied directly to a metal roofed modular building and will not require tear-off of an existing system. Required completion time will be 45 calendar days after award of contract. Cost range is between $25,000 and $100,00. Requests for bid packages must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable check or money order in the amount of $25.00. Make check or money order payable to "VA Medical Center #603." Bid packages will be available on or about 4/20/98 with a bid opening date of 5/20/98 at 2:00pm local time, at the VA Medical Center, Bldg T2, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky.
