combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and
a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number
F3461298QF059 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This acquisition
is a 100% small business set- aside. Quotations submitted by concerns
other than small businesses will not be considered. The following
provisions an or/ clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1,
52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. The 97th Contracting Squadron/LGC,
Bldg 318, 205 S. 6th Street, Altus AFB, OK 73523-5147, requires the
purchase of an integrated, software-based sound system driven by the
computerized Peavey-Architectural Acoustics Media Matrix central
processing unit for the base chapel. Media Matrix is a software-based
audio system that operates under the Windows interface. The government
anticipates negotiating and issuing a purchase order on a sole source
basis with Peavy Electronics Corp and/or their authorized distributors
for a software-based audio system. The system should include the
following equipment/features: Tri-amped Three-way center speaker
cluster, four user located floor monitor speakers, hearing assistive
system for the hearing impaired, power amplifier rack equipment,
control systems rack equipment, stage area microphones and accessories,
speakers for hallways and annex areas, computer controlled audio mixing
and signal processing, dual well cassette deck and CD player, VHF band
wireless microphones with 100 user selected frequencies, furniture
grade equipment cabinet stained to match, pulpit microphone, three
hanging choir microphones, and selected handheld mics and assorted
accessories. The system is to provide multiple automatic mixers
configured for each worship service. The system must be expandable,
allowing it to provide the required signal processing functions of any
audio system regardless of size. Software must be upgradable as system
requirements change and new developments arise. Quoted price should
also include on site installation, training and testing, on line
monitoring via modem, and on site fatal system emergency repair. All
prices quoted must be FOB Destination. Offers submitted must include
estimated delivery date(s). Offerors must be an authorized dealer for
Peavey-Architectural Acoustics Media Matrix systems and be familiar
with the installation of this equipment. All offers must include a
completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations
and Certifications Commercial Items. Failure to include a completed
copy of the provisions at 52.212-3 may result in rejection of an offer.
Interested parties identifying their interest and capabilities (to
include all literature, catalogs, brochures, pricing and ETC ).Offers
from all responsible, responsive sources will be considered. Offers
will be accepted either in writing, at the address stated above, or by

is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the
government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses
to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. To
all interested parties, a site visit of area will be conducted on
Friday, April 10,1998 at 10:00 AM (central time). It is highly
recommended interested parties attend the site visit to become familiar
with the interior design of the chapel and obtain a better
understanding of the work required. All offers are due no later then
3:00 PM (central time) on Thursday, April 30,1998. For more information
